OIL AND ACRYLIC
Angela Barbi
Art, from hobby to profession
Angela Barbi (Girona, Spain) began drawing and painting at a very young age. . When she was a little bit older, she began taking classes in classical drawing and expressionist painting, combining her passion for art with her work as an English teacher in a high school, an occupation she carried out for more than 25 years. In 2014 she founded the IWS Spain and currently continues to collaborate with the rest of the IWS delegations around the world, being a member of various societies and jury of international competitions. She has also exhibited her artworks collectively and individually worldwide.
Her most personal project
She currently directs her own project, EPC Art Courses (Enjoy Painting Catalonia), which consists of organizing watercolor painting holidays in Catalonia, Spain and other countries, supervised by several of the most renowned watercolor masters in the world such as Álvaro Castagnet, Joseph Zbukvic or Charles Reid.
"And the more I knew them and the more brushes tried, the more I liked them and I still like them. Above all because of their quality, they are reliable when you paint, you know they will respond both in wet and dry."
Angela Barbi about Escoda:
“I have been using Escoda brushes since long before I knew the owners personally, they have always been the brushes for me. And the more I knew them and the more brushes tried, the more I liked them and I still like them. Above all because of their quality, they are reliable when you paint, you know they will respond both in wet and dry. You also know that the materials are excellent, that the hair won’t fall out, that the handle will stay in place and that they will last you a long time, even if you put them under a lot of abuse. The hair has just the right amount of hardness and above all the excellent tip lasts even if the brush is old. So, of course, I can recommend them without any hesitation. Thank you Escoda for making our life as artists easier!”
