Joan Coch
Versatile painter and designer
Joan Coch Rey (Sabadell, 1963) shows from an early age an innate artistic and creative quality that he continues to develop throughout his professional life, not only in watercolor, but also in various artistic fields such as interior design, architecture and visual arts. He is an artist in constant dedication that always works looking for new trends in the scopes of plastic expression.
Work and recognitions
Much of his prolific artwork can be found in different public spaces and private collections. Lately, he is dedicated to participate in painting competitions in which he has been recognized and awarded numerous times, becoming one of the most respected watercolorists of the moment. He participates in individual and collective exhibitions, as well as gives workshops and masterclasses, nationally and internationally. He is currently a professor of watercolor at the Sabadell Academy of Fine Arts.
"Thanks to the vision, dedication and tenacity when it comes to creating the brushes with a quality artisan method, Escoda makes the best tool that I can use through my hands to create my works of art."
The relationship between Escoda and Joan Coch:
“Since I was a kid, I had always used Escoda brushes…. Thanks to the vision, dedication and tenacity when it comes to creating the brushes with a quality artisan method, Escoda makes the best tool that I can use through my hands to create my works of art. In the realization of my watercolors, the speed and gestures of the line are decisive to achieve an optimal result. In that creative moment, the Escoda Último series, made of synthetic fiber, solves these demands perfectly.”
